Many of the activities of OC teams contribute to the development of local leaders. While we strive to respect and honor local leaders, we also recognize that those leaders often need encouragement, training, and information to serve more effectively. Typical leadership development activities include informal and formal training, mentoring and coaching, publishing, networking, and organizing conferences and projects. Our staff members also choose a local church in which they can model ministry and assist in the development of local church leaders. Our research efforts help in the development of leaders by providing new information and insights. We seek to partner with churches and organizations in this developmental effort.
