The foundation for any ministry is laid in prayer, and God’s blessing of the nations depends in part on our intercession. Indeed, prayer is ministry. Jesus instructed His disciples to pray for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Implicit in this, is the understanding that God’s will is not always done on earth, and in fact His Kingdom’s coming is being resisted. In OC, we believe that God calls His people to pray with insight for nations and people groups, as well as individuals, inviting Him to accomplish His will and purposes. Our teams may do research on the spiritual needs of a nation or people group, organize prayer events, develop materials on prayer and/or encourage the use of prayer guides developed by others. We also partner with those developing prayer networks focused on reaching nations.
